Dave QuinnFacilities ManagerSeagate"Seagate arrived in Longmont through an acquisition, but it became clear early on that this was a community where we could grow. When Seagate made the decision to build a permanent facility for the personal storage group, Longmont was an obvious choice. Seventy percent of Seagate's employees live in the Longmont area."Forrest JamesSenior Director, Facilities and Real EstateXilinx Corporation"Longmont is a great place to do business and is one of the most successful locations we have ever built. If I were going to give advice to a company considering relocation or expansion, I would tell them to expect a very friendly business atmosphere in Longmont that would work hard to meet their needs."Alan PaulCorporate ArchitectAmgen"When Amgen was considering sites for its manufacturing campus, Longmont was able to meet all our needs including available ground, adequate infrastructure, a quality workforce, and a business friendly local government. Working with Longmont is a team approach that facilitates the time constraints that the Biotech industry faces."
Seagate expanded its corporate campus in 2007 by 80,000 square feet to facilitate its growth from a Maxtor acquisition. The campus is now 530,000 square feet and houses 1,160 employees.
