Whether you are considering starting a business in Longmont or you have an established and growing business in Longmont, the Longmont Economic Development Partnership is here to help.  In partnership with the City of Longmont, the Boulder Small Business Development Center, the Chamber of Commerce, and many other economic development partners, we provide Longmont's small business community access to the resources, training, and a supportive ecosystem that fosters growth and long-term economic vitality of our city.  

If you are a prospective or current Longmont small business, our services include:

  • Free, Confidential, One-on-One Business Advice.  Through partnerships with the Boulder Small Business Development Center, the Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and PTAC, entrepreneurs can get free one-on-one business advice around business planning and forecasting, funding, operations management, accounting and payroll, marketing, HR management, exporting/importing, and government contracting.
  • No Cost/Low Cost Workshops and Training.  Our workshops and training include: Start Up Essentials, Business Planning, Marketing Essentials, QuickBooks, Small Business Taxes, Financial Management, a 10-Week Entrepreneur Series, Bilingual Bootcamps, Importing/Exporting workshops, and more.
  • Access to Capital.  We have a variety of grant programs for retail businesses and a small business lending program for qualified businesses.  We actively work with local banks, micro lenders, OEDIT, foundations, crowd funding support organizations, and local, state, and federal grant agencies.
  • Advanced Research and Marketing Support.  We partner with the Longmont Library and outside vendors to provide GIS support, demographic information, market segmentation, and industry analysis for qualifying small businesses.
  • Connections to Resources.  We are a gateway to the City of Longmont and other local, regional, and state resources and partners that can help.
  • Property Searches.  We can help identify available properties within the city that fit your requirements and space needs.
