According to Forbes Magazine, Boulder County has the most educated population in the US.  As Boulder County's 2nd largest city, Longmont is served by the St. Vrain Valley School District for K-12 education.  In terms of post secondary education, Longmont has the Boulder County Campus of Front Range Community College, has its own Career Development Center, and is in close proximity to several institutions of higher learning including the University of Colorado (15 miles), Colorado State University (35 miles), University of Northern Colorado (45 miles), Colorado School of Mines (50 miles), University of Denver (50 miles), and others.
